Effective July 2023 YHL is announcing that the Tahltan Nation
Winter is fast approaching and we’re seeing the continuation of Covid infections across the province and the world. Our very busy summer season has been winding down, some of the crews have been undergoing our usual recurrent training at the Prince George Ops Centre. The heli-ski and avalanche season will soon be upon us and given that it’s forecasted as another La Nina winter, we’re again expecting lots of snow on the BC mountaintops and a busy winter of flying.
As the Gov’t of Canada, Province of BC and Transport Canada travel restrictions evolve, so must our Covid safety protocols in order to protect our personnel and our clients, to reduce the risk of transmission and infection. Our winter crews and operational support have been busy ensuring their Covid vaccination status is complete for their November deadlines.

Transport Canada requires all travelers over the age of 12 show proof of vaccination before boarding a flight from our Prince George (YXS) base or our Fort St. John (YXJ) base.
Fully vaccinated passengers must present proof of vaccination, which will be scanned and/or verified at check-in. Please review acceptable proof of vaccination on the Government of Canada’s webpage.
Passengers who cannot provide proof of full vaccination will be required to provide a negative test result from a Covid-19 molecular test taken within 72 hours of travel. After November 15, all passengers will have to be fully vaccinated or provide proof of an exemption. A molecular test will not be accepted after this date.
Without one of the above, guests will be unable to travel.
If you are feeling unwell or exhibit known COVID-19 symptoms such as a cough or difficulty breathing, stay home and rebook your trip for a time when you are verified symptom-free by a doctor.
