2026 YHL Calendar Photo Contest

2025 marks YHL’s 50th anniversary & we’re highlighting what we do with another of our fabulous calendars!

We’re excited to start planning the 2026 Yellowhead Helicopters calendar, and we’re inviting all staff & our clients to submit their best YHL helicopter on-the-job photos taken throughout 2025!

This year, we’re aiming for a new layout design: horizontal photos across the top of each calendar page, with vertical photos featured alongside the monthly dates at the bottom. To make this work, we’ll need more photos than in previous years—so if you’ve captured great moments on the job, we’d love to see them!

To participate, please send your photos to:
📧 sarah.gibson @yhl.ca

A few important notes:

  • Format & Size: You can submit smaller photos for initial review, but final selections must be around 4MB or larger to ensure print quality.
  • Ownership & Use: By submitting a photo, you agree to grant YHL ownership of the image, allowing it to be used for marketing, advertising, promotional, training, or other company-approved purposes, with no additional compensation.
  • Compensation for Photos Selected and used in the 2026 Calendar:
    • $150 for each horizontal photo used
    • $100 for each vertical photo used
  • Photographer Credit: Please include:
    • The name of the photographer
    • A short description (example: Airbus AS350B2, C-GNMJ, provides transportation for radio technicians to a communication tower on Mount Shorty Stevens, near Stewart, BC. Photo: RJ Price (November 2020))
  • Third-party submissions: If the photo was taken by someone outside the company, please ensure they give permission for use and provide their email address so we can arrange payment if their photo is selected.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed in the past—we truly appreciate your support in helping us showcase the amazing work and people of Yellowhead. We’re looking forward to seeing your 2025 adventures captured in the 2026 calendar!
