Position Title: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Apprentice – Avionics “E”

Department: Maintenance

Location: Prince George, BC

Salary: Monthly salary based on experience and qualifications plus an extensive benefits package.


Position Overview

Required immediately.  This is a full-time salaried position.  Reporting directly to the Director of Maintenance, the AME – Avionics “E” is responsible for the certification of an aircraft after maintenance, inspection, repair or modification. This is a responsible occupation requiring a high degree of responsibility and skill, which includes:

  • Perform work including checks and verifications in accordance with the work order, quality procedures and check-lists
  • Recertify altimeters, recertify ELTs
  • Perform major/minor Mod installations
  • Perform aircraft line maintenance and testing
  • Record work performed and discrepancies in accordance with company procedures
  • Supervising, performing and documenting routine maintenance.


Other Duties

  • Other Duties as required by the Avionics Supervisor, Shop Supervisors and/or the Director of Maintenance


Requirements

  • Mechanical / Engineering knowledge of aircraft systems.
  • A clear understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARS)
  • Understanding and ability to work with aerospace test equipment and tooling.
  • Formal Aviation Training from a TCCA-approved training organization (ATO) Preferred (with “E” rating)
  • Preference is given to those willing to relocate to Prince George, BC but willing to offer tours to the right candidate
